In short
- Go to Settings → Delete account (in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account).
- Withdraw any money you have earned first.
- Your personal details are erased straight away. This cannot be undone.
01How to delete your account
- Sign in and open Settings (in the app: Profile → Settings).
- At the bottom, choose Delete my account.
- Read what will be removed, tick “I understand”, type DELETE and, if your account has a password, enter it.
You are signed out on every device and the account is deleted immediately.
02Before you delete
- Withdraw your earnings. An account with money still Available or Pending, or with a withdrawal in progress, cannot be deleted until it is paid out – so you never lose money you earned.
- Staff accounts must first be changed back to a normal member.
- Credits cannot be refunded or moved to another account.
03What is erased
- Your email address, password, name, @username, photo, bio and country.
- Sign-in links with Google, Apple or Facebook, and every signed-in session and device.
- Your library (including books you bought), reading progress, credits, points and levels.
- Payout accounts, follows and notifications.
- Your published books and reads are taken off the store. Readers who bought them keep their copies.
04What is kept, and why
- Payment and earnings records (amounts, dates, references) are kept without your name for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
